Congratulations on your first shown and RUclips video of one. If you watch some RUclips videos of quilt shows you can learn some techniques. It must have been so overwhelming ❤. So glad you shared it with us AND the plunder 🎉
Oh my goodness absolutely exquisite quilts. What a fun yet overwhelming day. Thank you so much for sharing. Loved the #9 pastel quilt and the American flag and so many others.
someone gave me one of the rollers years ago and it sat in the closet til i started quilting. I love it because it is washable!. Now I have to find more!!
Loved your trip to Wooster for the quilt show. My husbands family lives in Euclid, sister, and brother and his wife live in Elyria. Very familiar with that area!!
I love Free Spirit’s fabrics! Love those choices you picked especially the last one. Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing. I don’t know how you are ever going to be able to cut that fabric and use it. I tend to horde the fabric I love the most and keep it in its “natural” state.
So funny that you said something about cutting that fabric.... Because I totally cut into it yesterday LOL😂 I can't wait to show you all what I made with it❤️
I love going to Quilt shows it can get kind of expensive you gotta pick and choose ❤Your First Show so happy for you Praying you go to many more shows I am originally from Ohio and I liked to go all the time when I was young how I miss them days ❤
Love everything you bought!! I would definitely have paid $20 for that fabric Tracy!!! We had our Quilt show in Salem the same weekend as Wooster so I didn’t get to go because I had a table there in Salem. And it was my guild so I helped to set up and tear down. I entered my first quilt into the show. I didn’t win anything but It was a lot of fun and I met a ton of people too.
The sticker roller and possibly the prickly one would clean a wool mat also and and ironing board. Sometimes thread stick to the ironing board and I use a dish sponge with the rough side and scrub the threads that gave starch on them.
I’ve been to two quilt shows and they are fun. I used to go with my mom who was a quilter and it was a lot of fun looking and shopping together. The quilts are always amazing and I always find nice fabric and notions.
Good morning y'all. Thank you for sharing your Quilt show trip. Love the Morano from Free Spirit. Can't wait to see how you're going to use these gorgeous prints. The Dapper Dachshunds .oh my .. love it. Have a fabulous weekend. ❤
Tracy, the dapper dachshund makes me think of the quilt that has the super long dachshund in a sweater that wraps the quilt! Super cute and I plan to make it at some point. Excited about your haul and hope to see you making some cool things with it soon!
So happy you went to your 1st show!!! I paused a number of times to take a picture on my phone for inspiration!! So many talented people in the world ❤
My parents grew up in Conneaut, Ohio, and I had family that lived in Ashtabula. And one of my uncles lived in Erie Pennsylvania. When I first started watching you during Covid. You were in Naples Florida and maybe Marco Island. I live there for 25 years.
Lint Rollers I just bought a set of 2 large and 2 small from Amazon. The large one that looks like a paint roller would be nice but I don't have it. I just wash it with warm water. Oh I thought the Advent Panel was beautiful when you showed it.
So overwhelming! The first fabric (flowers) is exactly what I'm searching for! And thought it was my firm favourite until the green (wow) then the multicolour mosaic appeared
Wow, what a thrill it was to be riding along to the quilt show in your pocket. So much to see that after a while my brain felt so full I could hardly take it all in. I LOVE that blue Murano fabric with the floral on it. I could see a whole cloth quilt made of just yards of it as is, just quilted to a nice background! It would be divine. Thanks for sharing, I loved it
If you want to go to a great quilt show without vendors selling stuff, you might want to check out Quilt National... No vendors, but an amazing juried gallery exhibition at the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, OH held every odd year. Thanks for sharing your experience and haul. I look forward to seeing what you make with your new fabrics!
So happy that you love your thimble. It's so wonderful to have a thimble that fits. I have a few from T.J. Lane, and bought my last one from the Thimble Lady. I keep them in different sewing boxes - ie: my EPP, my basic sewing basket and one is for my left hand forr working the under side of the quilt. They are so nice to use. It is nice to go to quilt shows with a friend, but then if you go alone you don't have anyone to talk you out of buying anything. :-) So glad you enjoyed your first quilt show. Mine was the Road to California in Ontario CA many years ago. So much fun!!
It was a wonderful surprise seeing you there Thursday! Oh...and the first day is always packed. I took my MIL and SIL on Saturday and they enjoyed it. I only bought a couple fat quarters! So many beautiful quilts there. Wayne and Holmes Counties are full of quilts. From quilt and fabric stores and thrift stores (I think I told you I volunteer at MCC Connections in Kidron. You missed the Mennonite Relief Sale by a week which is more than just quilts. Come back and stay a few days! Ps---I love my sticky, we have cats. 🐈⬛🐈
Oh yes! I loved getting to meet you Valerie...❤️ Are there any more quilt shows coming up in our area? Keep me posted if you hear of any. You can always email me at thesewingchannel33@gmail.com Take Care!
I was there at that show & in fact, I think that was my bus that our group traveled in! (I live in Stow, OH) It was a great show & I got to enjoy it all over again thanks to your video. New subscriber here.
Aloha from Hawaii. 🌈🌈‼️. You should have sent your strawberry quilt to this convention!!! You. Di. And April are the three musketeers of my quilt world!!! 😀😀😀‼️🤣🤣🤣‼️
Thank you for sharing your first quilt show with us Tracy. Is was fun seeing it through your eye. Love your great haul, especially the beautiful thimble, enjoy it.
Love advent panel. Those murano fabrics, I don't know if I like green or pink better. WOW that allover print. Dog kit❤❤❤. I really thought you were going to buy that raspberry fabric
I almost bought the raspberry fabric...so close...but then I tried to think of why and what I would use that lone fruit fabric for...and I couldn't justify it. LOL😂
Just so you know, Murano is a famous Italian glass company. From the look of that gorgeous fabric, it might be a stained glass maker. Beautiful fabric! Well done Tracy!
Loved all the quilts and fabrics. Thanks for sharing. I slowed it down to see the creative ideas. Loved the Christmas nome quilt and the advent as well. I’m a sucker for all things Christmas. Thanks for sharing.
First quilt show? Looks like it was fantastic. Love those silver thimbles. Pricey but unique, quality workmanship and materials fitted to you personally. You will always remember where you purchased it. It is all your fault that I saw (and ordered online) the perfect jade Murano fabric for my guest bedroom curtains. 😊 You now know to rest up mentally and physically before and after a quilt show. It can be exhilarating and exhausting. PS Bringing a friend increases expenditures and fun. Thank you for sharing.
Oh ! Wow at 12.10, rulers galore! 😲😲. Such talent placed at these quilt shows... thank you for sharing Tracy. The Quilts are so beautiful! FYI, those rose fabrics in the pink and purple look great fussy cut in a 3 yard quilt. The ones that have large square blocks as focus blocks. Oh what!😮 oh by the way, some of that fabric you purchased makes ya wanna take it and cuddle with it, just beautiful!
You need to check out the Sisters Quilt Show in Sister's Oregon. It usually is the week after the 4th of July. Lots of classrs and quilts galore hung all over town. Lots of walking but worth it.
That was fun to watch. I look forward to going to the Quilt show coming up here in August. And I also wish I had a quilty friend to go with too. But it's still nice to be there. And i can go at my own pace. 🤩
Oh wow, Tracy. I have been watching for the last 20 months at you all making quilts. Falling in love with your dramatic lines and spinning them around and making such amazing patterns. Then I saw Tula Pink fabrics and my granddaughter just has to have a jacket made with her fabrics ( she wants the trainers, but her feet are growing too fast for them). Thinking I have enough that I want to make. Then you show this Quilts festival. OMG I cannot believe how many absolutely gorgeous Quilts. I was hoping to get to the NEC, Birmingham, United Kingdom Festival of Quilts, but still not very well and able to walk around all those hours (and my car has just had a very big and very expensive breakdown, I need to try and put back my savings pot). Now I need to live until I am about 250 years old to add more Quilts to my "I Must Have " list. Thank you so much for sharing your time at the quilt festival. It makes me sad I can't go, but I am determined I will try next year to get there. ❤❤
lol!!! Always buy two…one to cut and one to pet. Wahoo. 🤣 What a neat quilt show to go to. So many gorgeous quilts! That rooster in the beginning!!! 🤩 I am so amazed at the level of talent these men and women have. Now for those gorgeous prints by clothworks you picked up. Don’t know why but they’re screaming a sundress or skirt to me. The fabric is almost too pretty to cut up. Just stunning. Let us know how you like the lint rollers. Been wanting to get them but was worried they wouldn’t stay sticky. Such a fun video Miss Tracy! Loved it. 🤗🤗
I just can't believe all the quilts...we are like a cult or something. LOL😂 It's hard to wrap my mind around how many ppl quilt...it's crazy...we are crazy LOL😂 Oh and clothworks...not sure if you have ever pet that brand....but it would be worth it to just order it so you can pet it....and I aint' jokin' either LOL
Your 1st quilt show? What a big one too! 😮❤ Dizzying speed! They had a clip on rt side to use if u wanted to see the back assuming most are right handed. Liked 160. Uh 10 minutes?
Oh what a great show! On the travel roller, if you put a 2oz bottle of Dawn in your toiletries, it won’t take much space and you’ll have it on hand. I used to bring Dawn in a bottle everywhere when I traveled. It works to pre-spot spills on clothes, cleans surfaces prior to eating, and in a pinch I’ve used it to wash my hands or hair. You got great fabrics! Nice selections!
There are some great quilters in Ohio from the looks of quilts hanging on the walls. Looks like there was a good selection of vendors, too. Glad you had a good quilt show experience. The only quilt show that I really disliked was QuiltCon 2024 as the crowd was overwhelming (20,000 on day 1-- the day I was there). Love the fabrics you splurged on although I thought you might have purchased the mini quilt rack.
Yes...tons of great quilters! That mini quilt rack almost came home with me LOL😆 20,000...WOW too many ppl LOL😂 That would have overwhelmed me for sure!
@@TheSewingChannel I guess I need to check your community tab more often. I’m in Canton , only 30 minutes from Wooster. I met a friend of mine from Columbus (also a TSC subscriber) on Friday, then, lol, I went back on Saturday to buy something else I wanted. It is a great show.
Thank you for sharing your first visit to a quilt show. Quilts were all beautiful. Vendor booths with all the lovely fabric ....so much temptation...so much beautiful fabric. Love the dachshund...can't wait to see yours.
what a great first show Tracy, i went to my first ever big quilt show here in the UK last year and like you i was so overwhelmed... yikes. I did spend 3 days there as i wasn't sure what to expect, guess what i am going again this year and i can't wait, only a week to go....Yeh!
Hi All Tilda patterns are free on her website so you get them free with your fabrics in kits the shop just prints them off and includes in the kits. Tilda fabrics are lovely
Your first quilt show this year, or your first quilt show ever? Surely you mean this year. You’ve done so much quilting, I can’t imagine that you haven’t seen other quilters’ work up close and personal before.
@@TheSewingChannelWow first show ever? Unbelievable! I was so excited for you, reminded me of the first one I went to post pandemic. I have been to a lot of them, loved them all and loved the vendors. And there is always a nice lunch!
Awesome!! I was there on Thursday. I have gone last 3 year's. This was the biggest so far. So many quilts and vendors! Hope you enjoyed it. We went to Holmes County to spend a few days with the Amish. Just south of Wooster.
Oh wow...we probably walked right by each other and didn't even realize it❣️ That was a huge and busy quilt show...I wasn't sure what to expect but it was awesome for sure!!!
Hi Tracy! I think you showed amazing restraint! All those beautiful things! You pretty much bought the same things I would have bought. I wish I knew where t o get one of those sticky things! It would not pay to go to a quilt show with an empty wallet! I cant wait to see what you make! That dachshund toy is so cute! I'd like to make each one of my little great granddaughters one of tg hose. Enjoy!
I was there Saturday! I bought those sticky rollers & I love them! I wish I could of visited with you. I am 1/2 hour away from Wooster.. that thread quilt of outer space was amazing. Did u see the cute rag quilts?? Of the pumpkins & other stuff??
...so this was your very first quilt show that you have gone to? Wow! That is surprising! Why haven't you been before? Too far away? Quilts #11 and #20 etc... What is that pattern called, do you know? It is awesome!
YES my first quilt show that I have ever went to. I didn't put a quilt in this show. I went for the thimble lady and the rest was icing on my cake LOl😂 Sorry I don't know any names or patterns of the quilts there.
What day were you there? I was going to go on Friday, but I didn't make it. I have gone the last couple of years to this show, and I am going to try to go back next year.
@@TheSewingChannel That was my first quilt show a couple of years ago, and it was really nice. Did you do any of the classes or lectures? I have done some of the lectures in the past. They had a lady that did one of the lectures last year, and she did a lot of embroidery on her quilts. They were stunning, and she entered quilts in shows all around the country and won several awards.. I could have listened to her talk all day. I was hoping that she would come back this year, but didn't see her on the schedule. I would have loved to meet you, but maybe next year.
Tracy, this video was DELIGHTFUL!!! I haven't been to a quilt show in several years, but watching you get sooo excited made me realize how much I enjoy the shows. At every turn, the sights took my breath away. Thanks so much for sharing!
That was a way better quilt show than we have here in Colorado. It is fun to go with a friend. Please tell me that you did not spend $100 for a thimble! It’s very nice and lovely, but that’s a lot of money. Were people dropping that kind of money on thimbles? Also, I hope that you do a video on the wiener dog. I love it and I’m also a Tilda fan.
I love your half yard fabrics but it really irritates me when the people that cut fabric don't pay attention to the repeat patterns on fabric. If you want to center the flower on a tote bag you would be losing fabric. The fabrics are gorgeous, the blue, green and red especially. Thanks for the tour.
Omg!! The fabrics are awesome! I couldn't leave either...😮😮
Talk about stimulus overload! so many beautiful quilts! Thank you for sharing

Thank you for sharing ❤
I went to this show. Had so much fun. I live about 45 minutes from Wooster. I hope you enjoyed it.
I had fun too. Hopefully I will go next year🎉
Hi
All Tilda patterns are free on her website so you get them free with your fabrics in kits the shop just prints them off and includes in the kits. Tilda fabrics are lovely
Oh wow..thank you so much for that info!!!!❤️
So excited for you. It is on my bucket list to go to a quilt show
Wonderful purchases. I always find something! Ours here in Wisconsin is September 5th-7th and I can't wait. The talent out there is amazing.
W-O-W what a show!
❤❤❤
Your first quilt show this year, or your first quilt show ever? Surely you mean this year. You’ve done so much quilting, I can’t imagine that you haven’t seen other quilters’ work up close and personal before.
My FIRST EVER! I know it's hard to believe. But true. I'm so glad I went.❤️
@@TheSewingChannelWow first show ever? Unbelievable! I was so excited for you, reminded me of the first one I went to post pandemic. I have been to a lot of them, loved them all and loved the vendors. And there is always a nice lunch!
They are all so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Enjoy!
I sure did show restraint LOL😆 I do say the sticky website in the video...you can always buy one online✅
@@TheSewingChannel oh wow! I'm gonna have to watch it again. I didnt catch that!
I was there Saturday! I bought those sticky rollers & I love them! I wish I could of visited with you. I am 1/2 hour away from Wooster.. that thread quilt of outer space was amazing. Did u see the cute rag quilts?? Of the pumpkins & other stuff??
Oh I wish we could have met up too. There is always next year❤️ and yes that outer space quilt was one of my favs there...awesome!!
Sweetie, next time swing by and pick me up! I will be your quilts friend that goes with you!! ❤️
Ok✅
How could you control yourself? I've learned to take handcuff with me. I've still haven't learned to leave the keyes behind 🎉
What is the name of the designer and the name of the print that you bought a yard and half of?
It’s beautiful !
...so this was your very first quilt show that you have gone to?
What was the name of the quilt show? I would like to go to it next year.
Happy you enjoyed your time.
Northeast Ohio Quilt Show✅
You can put Dawn in a tiny travel
Bottle
What was the name of this show?? It looked fantastic and I would love to go next year.
Northeast Ohio Quilt Show. In Wooster, Ohio❤️
What day were you there? I was going to go on Friday, but I didn't make it. I have gone the last couple of years to this show, and I am going to try to go back next year.
I was there on Thursday✅
@@TheSewingChannel That was my first quilt show a couple of years ago, and it was really nice. Did you do any of the classes or lectures? I have done some of the lectures in the past. They had a lady that did one of the lectures last year, and she did a lot of embroidery on her quilts. They were stunning, and she entered quilts in shows all around the country and won several awards.. I could have listened to her talk all day. I was hoping that she would come back this year, but didn't see her on the schedule. I would have loved to meet you, but maybe next year.
Did you like the roller. I was there on Saturday I saw that big lint roller
So far I like it...haven't really got to use it yet to put it to the test!✅
Tracy, this video was DELIGHTFUL!!! I haven't been to a quilt show in several years, but watching you get sooo excited made me realize how much I enjoy the shows. At every turn, the sights took my breath away. Thanks so much for sharing!
@TheSewingChannel ill go with you next year lol. I'm in Geauga
@@cherieiduke1723 YES!
@@sharonvernetti1256 Maybe you can come next year❤
You’re no longer a quilt show, virgin!😂 they sure are fun, right? I love being around other creative quilters with like minds.
Yep LOL😂 I so wished you were with me though😪 Next time!
Yes, people were dropping $200 on thimbles..mine was a "closeout" price. 😱 Worth it though❤️
Did you get a thimble? 🙂
Watch til the end my quilt amiga LOL😂
@@TheSewingChannel ha ha. 🤣
Who was the thimble lady?
Check out her site..."Thimbles for you"
I love your half yard fabrics but it really irritates me when the people that cut fabric don't pay attention to the repeat patterns on fabric. If you want to center the flower on a tote bag you would be losing fabric. The fabrics are gorgeous, the blue, green and red especially. Thanks for the tour.
I totally agree on the cutting...it's aggravating for sure❣️
Oh, That is too cute NOT to buy
Did you buy too much? It's all according to who you ask.
Nope...I think I bought "just enough"✅
